The Dillinger is a Prohibition-themed bar in Boulder City at 1224 Arizona Street, which is a fun bit of irony given the town's long history of banning gambling and booze. For service-industry workers getting off shift, Boulder City locals, or anyone wrapping up a Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, or hiking day, it is one of the cheapest happy hours anywhere near Vegas, dressed up nicer than a dive.

The deal runs Monday through Friday, 4 to 6pm. The pricing is genuinely low: $1 PBR, $2 well drinks, and $5 wings and fingers. The dollar PBR is the headliner, cheaper than buying a six-pack at the store, so if you are drinking for volume that is your lane. The $2 wells do not skimp on the pour if you want liquor. There are also rotating extras like dollar PBR draft Wednesdays and a Sunday Funday with pitchers and a Bloody Mary bar.

The room leans into the speakeasy look with low lighting, dark wood, and exposed brick, so it reads more upscale than the price suggests. From Henderson or southeast Vegas it is roughly a 20 to 30 minute drive, which beats Strip traffic for dollar beers. Catch the 4-to-6pm window right after work.
