RPM Italian Happy Hour. The Strip

RPM Italian sits in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, so valet at Caesars or the Forum garage gets you closest, then it's a short walk in. Happy hour runs early, Monday through Friday, 3 to 5pm, which means lighter crowds and a real shot at a bar seat compared to the later slots.

The pricing is the headline. Beer is $5, wine $8, signature cocktails $8, and virgin drinks $7, with bites at $8. Those bites are scaled-down versions of actual menu dishes, so a few of them add up to a meal. Crispy calamari that isn't rubbery, meatballs in San Marzano sauce, and a margherita flatbread are the dependable orders. Build a couple of those around the $5 beer or $8 wine and you've eaten well without spending much.

The wine list leans Italian, with Pinot Grigio, Sangiovese, and Prosecco among the pours, and they're full glasses rather than thimbles. Wine tends to suit the food better than the cocktails, though the $8 signature cocktails are there if you want one.

The room is polished without being stuffy: dark wood, marble, low light that flatters everyone. The early crowd mixes Forum Shops shoppers, Strip workers, and couples getting a head start on the evening. Jeans and a decent shirt are fine. This is one of the rare Strip happy hours where the deal doesn't come with a drop in quality, so long as you show up in that 3 to 5pm window.
