The Underground Speakeasy Happy Hour. Downtown

The Underground is a speakeasy and distillery in the basement of The Mob Museum downtown, 300 Stewart Ave, with the museum's parking right there and an entrance that takes a little finding, which is part of the point.

Happy hour runs Sunday through Thursday, 5 to 7pm, closed Friday and Saturday. The deal is straightforward: $2 off all craft cocktails, draft beer, and wine by the glass. That cut applies across the whole menu rather than a short list of designated drinks, so you can order what you actually want at a slightly friendlier price. The cocktails earn it, built with real measurements, quality spirits, house syrups and bitters, and garnishes that serve a purpose. The menu covers classics done correctly alongside originals, and the bartenders will build to your taste if nothing is jumping out.
